Madame Alexander An American Legend (#12510) is a 1999 deluxe hardcover book with case and Cissette doll set, limited edition 1500. The 10" day portraying Madame Alexander
has brown hair and brown sleep eyes which fully close when the doll is not upright.
She is wearing a soft green tweed-like jacket with faux fur collar, skirt, stockings, shoes, and hat. There is a key to the store tied to the doll's right wrist. She will come with a stand.
The 247 page hardcover book, Madame Alexander- An American Legend, written by Stephanie Finnegan, is the first full-color, illustrated, comprehensive book on the doll-maker and the company she founded in 1923. The 9" x 12" book contains color photographs
of 758 mint dolls dating from 1930-1998.
The book and doll set is
used, in excellent condition, and is being sold without the box, sketch book, or backdrop. It is
being sold by its original owner and comes from a smoke free and pet free home. The doll has been in an enclosed glass display since being purchased and has not been played with.
